Yes — wash and style as usual. Tinsel is heat-safe up to 375°F, so blow dryers, curling irons and straighteners are all fine. Just brush gently and avoid pulling directly on the strands.

Absolutely — sparkle parties are our specialty! Birthdays, bachelorettes, girls' nights, pop-ups and events. Parties run $120/hour and most bookings are 2+ hours. Request a quote and we'll build something magical for your group.

Sparkle Strands began with Annie Deng and a simple belief: everyone deserves a little shimmer. Behind the chair since 2022 — first at a haircutting salon, then a blow dry bar — Annie fell for the way a few strands of tinsel can light up someone's whole face. Subtle, sun-catching glimmer or a bold party look? She's at home with both.

Today, Sparkle Strands is Annie's own traveling studio — she brings the shimmer straight to living rooms, parties, and pop-ups across Greater Boston, tying in tinsel for everyone from flower girls to grandmothers. Wherever her chair lands, it's a relaxed, no-judgment kind of place: come as you are, leave feeling heard, confident, and a little more radiant. When she's not tinseling, Annie styles hair at Keldara Salon and Spa in Dedham — or she's off chasing a new creative hobby, usually with her dogs underfoot.
